Bayless

Born in Oakland, California in 1920. Self taught. His serene landscapes are reminiscent of the Dutch and English landscape painters he studied and his large panoramic and atmospheric sky/land paintings hail back to the Hudsn River school painters he so admired. His works are included in the permanent collections of the U.S. Air Force, Smithsonian Institution, Naval Historical Center, which are all in Washington, D.C., and in the International Aerospace Museum in San Diego, California. His paintings have been exhibited in major galleries in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Phoenix, New York, and London. Among his many collectors are Mr & Mrs Scott Carpenter, Mr & Mrs Wellman, General and Mrs James Doolittle, Senator Barry Goldwater, Mr & Mrs Hal Roach, Mr & Mrs Barron Hilton, and Mrs Meridith Harless Lauerhass.
