Born in Alberta, Canada in
the 1930's .After finishing a summer school course at Banff School
of Fine Arts in Alberta, he enrolled in the Art Center School of
Design in Los Angeles and earned a degree. He later studied at the
Chouinard Art Institute, and years later taught at both art schools
and at two California universities. As an illustrator his work appeared
in major publications such as Readers Digest, Cosmopolitan, and
the Saturday Evening Post. He is a member, and past president of
the Society of Illustrators and is the recepient of a Lifetime Acheivment
Award by the society. Four of his painting were chosen for the commemorative
Bicentennial stamp series. Collectors include Ford Motor Co, Rand
Corp, Atlantic Richfield, La Costa Spa & Hotel, Smithsonian,
IBM Corp, Walt Disney Studios, Melissa Manchester, Willie Shoemaker
and others. The artist is best known for his romantic paintings
of the old west.
