Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti
in 1942. He received his formal art training at the Institution
Saint-Anne and at the Academie Beaux Arts, In Haiti. In1969 his
painting titled "Garden of Eden" won 2nd prize at the
New York Parke-Bernet Gallery show of Haitian paintings. Reviews
in Nouvelliste, New York Times, Centre-d'Art Review and Nader Gallerie
Review established the artist an important primitive painter. In
1973 he moved to Los Angeles. Collectors include Herve Hehu, Lawrence
Peabody, Jack Nicholson, Albert Mangones, Yvon Derouleaue plus others
in the U.S.and the Caribbean.
