Born
in southern California in 1953. He studied art and theatre at
Long Beach University, and continued his studies at the Art Students
League in New York City with David Lafell. He moved to the Boston
area in 1991 and after taking a workshop at the Fechin Institute
in New Mexico he moved to Santa Fe. In 2000 he moved back to the
east coast, and later studied with Richard Shmid. Throughout his
travels he continued to paint beautiful and sensitive women in
period settings establishing a following that included the Zigler
Museum in Louisiana, and the Ella Caruthers Dunnegan Gallery of
Art in Missouri, and celebrities including Tom Snyder, Red Skelton,
George Strait, Donna Mills, Brian Setzer (of the Stray Cats).Presidents
and CEO's of corporations have purchased his work including the
Madison Square Garden, Adobe Works, and Texas Instruments. The
artist received numerous awards in juried competitions, his latest
being 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place at the Lyme Art Association, 2001.
