Born in Parana, Argentina
in 1926. The artist was self taught. He earned his first medal at
the age of 14, exhibiting his work in the annual art salon in Entre
Rios, Argentina. He received many medals and first prize awards
including consecutive first prize awards in 1949 in Buenos Aires,
1950 in Mar Plata, and in 1951 in the Annual Salon in Santa Fe,
San Paolo in 1952, Chile in 1953 and at the Exposition of South
American Artists in New York City in 1954. His paintings continued
to be exhibited in South and Central America, and in Mexico City,
Madrid, Hawaii, and Los Angeles. He is best known for his portraits
of young children painted in his unique classical manner with surreal
impasto colorful brushwork creating rhythmic backgrounds.
