Born in Farmersville, Texas
in March of 1942 .Her formal art training began at 16 with a two
year tuition paid scholarship in life drawing at the Art Center
School of Design in Los Angeles and was soon followed by a four
year full tuition scholarship at the Chouinard Art Institute in
Los Angeles. In 1960 she became a designer for Elisabeth Stewart
Swimwear and later on as a designer for Campus Casuals. After forming
her own uniform design firm in 1969 she began a career in interior
design, starting her business in 1974 and continuing until 1988
when she moved to northern Idaho and began painting full time. The
artist is best known for her paintings of young women, children
and domestic and wild animals in a woodland setting.
